India has been the fastest-growing major emerging market for several years and is expected to remain so for the next several years. But achieving its ambition of reaching high-income status at the centenary of independence will require another growth acceleration. Two forces could catalyze such a growth acceleration: a more open trade regime and widespread adoption of AI. The session discussed how these two forces would affect growth and labor markets.
