Concluding remarks
14:40-15:00In this off the record workshop, we discussed sustainable finance and in particular the extent to which markets manage to match long-term savings with long-term green investments. Starting point is the realisation that many green investment projects have long or even very long investment horizons. Offshore wind parks, for example, easily have an operational, revenue generating period of 20-30 years. How are such long-term investments best funded? The workshop discussed various market and institution-based funding mechanisms. From equity markets to long-term bonds and various bank-based credits, options exist.
