Closing remarks
17:15The Department of Finance’s Annual Policy Conference focused on planning for Ireland’s future and featured recent research from the Department analysing how major demographic and economic trends may impact Ireland. The Conference marked the publication of the Department of Finance’s report Future Forty: A Fiscal and Economic Outlook to 2065, a first-of-its-kind assessment for Ireland, which projects Ireland’s economy and fiscal position over the coming forty years. The report includes detailed Deep-Dives into Climate Change & the Green Transition, Deglobalisation, Demographics, Healthcare, Housing and Digitalisation.
On the occasion, Bruegel celebrated its 20th anniversary in Dublin. Minister of State Robert Troy TD opened the conference and Andre Sapir, Senior Fellow at Bruegel, delivered a keynote address based on the recent report on Geopolitical Shifts and their Economic Impacts on Europe.
In the frame of Bruegel's 20th Anniversary celebrations we are organising a series of events in our members states, to bring important European conversations to the capitals and hear views from national policy makers and experts on potential challenges and solutions.
