As the global trade order faces fragmentation and rising US protectionism, deeper cooperation between the EU and Indo-Pacific partners is more urgent than ever. This online event jointly organised with RIETI, explored how the Indo-Pacific region—especially Japan—and Europe can lead efforts to rebuild a resilient, rule-based trade framework. It will focus on approaches that go beyond specific trade activities. The discussion included scenarios like the CPTPP-EU convergence.
