Why Europe has caught a cold

The old economist saying Whenever the US sneezes, Europe catches a cold‘ seems to once again been proved right. The forecasts for European growth have dropped, but rather than being based on economic analysis the pessimism stems from the disbelief in Europe‘s ability to, despite being one of the giants of the world economy, finding the wellspring of its own growth.
