Bruegel Annual Meetings, 1-3 September 2021

This year’s Bruegel Annual Meetings will take place on 1-3 September. The event will be held in a hybrid format with a small number of people joining on site and larger audience watching online.

Confirmed speakers at this year’s event include José Antonio Alvarez (Chief Executive Officer, Santander), Nadia Calviño (Minister of Finance, Spain), Johannes Hahn (European Commissioner for Budget and Administration), Mairead McGuinness (European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union), Tadeusz Kościński (Finance Minister, Poland), Diederik Samsom (Head of Cabinet of Frans Timmermans), Tharman Shanmugaratnam (Senior Minister, Singapore), and Laurence Tubiana (Chief Executive Officer, European Climate Foundation).

This year, we will talk about state of play with the EU recovery funds, national recovery programmes, the role of the state in providing crucial infrastructure for decarbonisation, the state of European finance, hybrid work, international competition policy, innovation and the digital transformation, the Conference on the future of Europe and much more!
