Mr. Tatsuji NARITA is Councillor, Secretariat of the Headquarters for Digital Market Competition, Cabinet Secretariat, Japanese Government.

Mr. Narita joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan in 1992 and has worked in different positions mainly in the fields such as digital economy, energy and revitalization of Japanese economy.
Prior to assuming his current post in 2019, he was Deputy Director General, Commerce and Information Policy Bureau, METI from 2017 to 2018 in charge of planning and executing the policies to realize data-driven economy.
From 2012 to 2015, as Special Advisor to METI at JETRO New York which also covers Washington DC, he contributed to the trade negotiation, Japan-US economic relationship and Japan-US industrial cooperation.

Mr. Narita holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from University of Tokyo and a MBA, Graduate School of Industrial Administration, Carnegie Mellon University.
