Robert P. Lieli

After completing his undergraduate studies in Hungary, Dr. Lieli received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California at San Diego in 2004. He worked at the University of Texas, Austin for a number of years, and then returned to Budapest to join Central European University and the National Bank of Hungary, where he held a senior researcher position until 2016. Dr. Lieli’s research is in econometrics; his main interests are binary prediction and program evaluation. He is the author of several articles in highly ranked econometric journals.
