Petra Keil

Petra Keil started her career as a scientist in basic medical research at the Universities of Munich and Freiburg, Germany. From 1995-1998 she worked for The Boston Consulting Company in Zurich, Switzerland focusing on Health Care.

In 1999 she joined Pfizer in Groton, Connecticut first in a strategic role in the R&D division and later moved on to become the Global Head of Strategic Planning for Pfizer Pharmaceutical, located at the Pfizer HQ in Manhattan.

Since 2006 she is working for Novartis in Basel. First as the Head of Central Development Operation in Pharma and starting in 2007 as the Head of Global Public Policy in group. In this role she was working on all relevant issues of the Pharma industry across all Novartis divisions. Topics range from R&D policy over Payment policy to Corporate Social Responsibility. Since 2015 she is responsible for Public and Government affairs in Europe which includes activities in the 28 European markets as well as the responsibility for the Brussels office which maintains interactions with the EU institutions.

She holds a masters in Theoretical Medicine, a PhD in Cell Biology and an MBA from INSEAD
