Paola Amadei

Executive Director, EU-LAC Foundation,

Paola Amadei is since February 2016 Executive Director of the EU-LAC (European Union, Latin American and Caribbean) Foundation in Hamburg, Germany.

She began her professional career as Junior Professional Officer and Consultant at the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago de Chile. Later, she joined the European Commission where she has worked particularly in the areas of international relations and development cooperation. In her most recent posts in the European Institutions Ms. Amadei was the European Union Ambassador to Jamaica, Belize, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Caiman Islands and Eritrea.

She is an economist of the University of Genoa (Italy), has a diploma of the College of Europe of Bruges (Belgium) and a Master of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in the US.
