Laura von Daniels

Laura von Daniels Head of the Research Division "The Americas" at The German Institute for International and Security Affairs – Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin. Her areas of expertise are the International financial system, Financial and debt crisis, Foreign trade policy, US Economic Policy, Monetary Policy, Trade Agreements, Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) and Financial Regulation.

From 2012 to 2013 Laura was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the Central European University in Budapest, after having spent a year at Harvard University in Cambridge as a Fritz Thyssen Fellow in the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.

From 2010 to 2011 Laura held a DAAD scholarship and was a PhD Fellow in the Politics Department at Princeton University in Princeton. At the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, she worked as a Research Associate between 2006 and 2010.
