Kate Kalutkiewicz

Senior Trade Representative, US Mission to the EU

Kate Kalutkiewicz is the Senior Trade Representative at the U.S. Mission to the European Union. She was previously USTR’s Director for European Affairs, where she served as Associate Chief Negotiator for the United States in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership negotiations. From 2007 to 2011, Mrs. Kalutkiewicz was Director for Brazil and the Southern Cone at USTR. She was the lead U.S. negotiator for the U.S.-Brazil Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation, and was a key negotiator of the U.S.-Brazil Cotton Framework Agreement. From 2003 to 2007, she worked as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator James Talent of Missouri, where she specialized in trade and customs issues, foreign policy, and the judiciary.

Mrs. Kalutkiewicz has a master’s degree in international relations from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
