Dirk Clausmeier
Deputy head of Division, Federal Ministry of Finance, Germany
Dirk Clausmeier currently serves as a deputy head of division at the German Federal Ministry of Finance. In his role, he is responsible for all aspects of cyber security in the finance sector, including government engagement with the G7 and G20. He joined the Ministry in 2010 and held other roles as Cyber Security Officer and policy advisor for customs. Prior to joining the Federal Ministry of Finance, Dirk worked at the Federal Customs Administration and at the Legal Faculty of the Free University of Berlin. He was trained at the UN Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania and the German Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He holds a PhD in law from Humboldt University in Berlin and a “Licence en Droit” from Paris University Nanterre.
