Alison Conboy is Deputy Director for Hydrogen Production at the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. In this role, she oversees the UK’s hydrogen production strategy and the £240m Net Zero Hydrogen Fund, intended to support low-carbon hydrogen production between 2021 and 2025. Alison has been a civil servant since 2009, holding a variety of climate and energy policy roles including overseeing the UK’s carbon budgets, and as a climate and energy attaché at the British Embassy in Washington. Alison’s background is in science and communication, and before joining the government she curated exhibitions at the UK’s National Science Museum.
