Adriana Cerretelli

European Editorialist, Il Sole 24 Ore,

Adriana Cerretelli is European Editorialist in Brussels for Il Sole-24Ore , the leading Italian economic and financial newspaper. She was  Chief European Correspondent for Il Sole-24Ore in Brussels for more than 20 years, until last summer.

Since the beginning of her career, she has been in charge of European and Nato affairs and has travelled all around Europe. She also covers  globalisation issues, in particular the G-8 and G-20 meetings and multilateral trade negotiations, WTO and Doha Round.

In 1990 Adriana became Editor for Europe. In the same year, Il Sole 24Ore put her in charge of launching a new weekly magazine about EU affairs. Co-author of  the book Europe versus Europe, published by Il Sole-24Ore, she won several awards for European coverage. Notably, she received the European Parliament Award.

Before going into journalism, Adriana Cerretelli was a resercher at the Institute of Studies for International Politics (ISPI) in Milan. She holds a Master in Political Science from the Catholic University of Milan.

Adriana is married and has a daughter.  She commutes between Brussels and Milan.
