Juan Delgado
Juan Delgado was a Resident Fellow from September 2005 to October 2008, when he left to become Chief Economist for the Spanish National Commission for Competition. Before then, he was the Repsol YPF Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
He also worked as an economist at DG Competition of the
European Commission (2001-2004) and with the Spanish telecommunications
regulator (1999-2001).
Juan holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Universidad Carlos III
in Madrid and a Master in Economics from the University of Warwick.
His research at Bruegel focused on markets, competition and regulation and, in particular, on energy and climate change policies. In 2007, he was one of the writers of Bruegel's first Blueprint Energy: The Choices for Europe.
