On 13 March 2008 a workshop of the Asia-Europe Economic Forum hosted by the National Bank of Belgium. took place in Brussels. The one-day event was intended to provide an opportunity for in-depth exchanges of views on the economic and financial linkages between Asia and Europe with a particular emphasis on the way the ongoing crisis was to affect both areas.
