Maria Taskinen

Maria joined Bruegel in September 2023 as a Development Intern. She holds a BA Honors degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam with a specialisation in Comparative Politics. She also spent a semester abroad at the University of Bologna. 

Prior to joining Bruegel, Maria worked as a research assistant at the University of Amsterdam's Political Science Department, assisting a project focusing on EU lobbying activities of European interest groups. Additionally, she worked in fundraising activities at Greenpeace Nordic and UN Women Finland.

Maria is from Finland and speaks native Finnish. She is also fluent in English with knowledge of French and Swedish.
