Lizi Sarchimelia

Lizi Joined Bruegel as an office intern in January 2024. Prior to that, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in international relations from Tbilisi State University in 2022, and as part of her studies completed an Erasmus programme at University College Dublin. In 2023, she completed a master’s programme in European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives at KU Leuven. 

Before moving to Belgium, Lizi worked as a research intern for the UNFPA/UNDP Joint Initiative in Georgia. She has previous experience as a virtual assistant and as a freelance writer for blogs. After her master's, Lizi completed an internship in the Embassy of Georgia to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union. Lizi is native in Georgian, fluent in English and Russian and is currently learning French.
