Jens Henriksson

Jens Henriksson was a Visiting Scholar at Bruegel in 2007 and 2008. He left to become executive director at the International Monetary Fund, representing the Nordic-Baltic Constituency in 2008 and 2009. Jens was a doctoral candidate at the Institute of International Economic Studies, Stockholm University. He also has 12 years of practical experience of policymaking, working closely with four Swedish Ministers of Finance. He began as a political adviser and had a strong influence on Sweden‘s economic policy under and after the budget consolidation in the 1990s.

Jens has a M.Sc. in Electronical Engineering and a B.A. in economics. After a first year as a graduate student in Economics at University of California San Diego, he left to join the Swedish Ministry of Finance.
