Gábor Békés

Gábor Békés is a research fellow at the Institute of Economics, Hungarian Academy of Sciences (IEHAS). His research is focused on applied work in international economics, economic geography, location choice ofmanufacturing firms, foreign direct investment, and firminnovation, internationalisation and productivity. He received his PhD in 2007 from the Central European University. He holds anMSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Finance from Corvinus University Budapest. He teaches economic geography and regional policy. Before joining IEHAS, he was a visiting researcher at the Magyar Nemzeti Bank and worked for Lehman Brothers in London.
