Lucrezia Reichlin

Lucrezia Reichlin has been the Director General of Research at the European Central Bank since March 2005. She is also a Professor of Economics at ECARES / Université Libre de Bruxelles, and has a number of additional professional responsabilities, including as Co-editor of the NBER-International Symposium in Open Macroeconomics (ISOM) and serving in the editorial board of the Journal of the European Economic Association.
She holds a Ph.D. from New York University (1986) and previously worked at the OFCE in Paris, the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University and at the European University Institute in Florence. She has been program codirector for International Economics at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), from 1999 to 2004; Scientist in charge for the Euro Area Business Cycle Network, up to March 2005; and is a Member of the Council of the European Economic Association.
